Summer’s End Is Drawing Nigh

Summer is coming to an end and it makes him sad. This was the hottest one in the State of Maine 's history, but hot in Maine is not like hot in the southern states. The temperature gets up in the low nineties and that's it. So summer is coming to an end and the cold winds will start to blow again, but that's not why he grieves.

You're saying goodbye summer, I'm saying hallo. What's that Beatles song? You say goodbye and I say hallo! Different context of course...Yes, Jen, the porch(25'X25') is attached to the second story of the house and it actually sits up in the trees. And I love the Beatles' music.I was wondering if that was where your porch was, or if you had to climb up the tree to get to it!You are so-o-o funny!
By Beatles' music, are you referring to the Beatles of rock-n-roll fame, or the beetles that gently serenade you as the night falls upon your treehouse? Nice article Robert. Thanks David. It's the "Yellow Submarine" guys. They sure were creative. I loved the mini skirts (not on them). It's funny you should say that, David. When I was a child living in Zimbabwe my older nasty sisters had discovered the Beatles. They (my sisters and friends) were very cool and I of course wasn't. One of their horrible superior friends asked me condescendingly if I liked the Beatles and I thought they meant beetles, which I did love, I used to collect them and make leaf palaces for them. So I naively gushed about them in detail, thus entrenching my uncoolness for ever! And we're so glad you did Jennifer.
You have a porch in the trees? Oh how lucky you are to sit there and be part of nature. Though if you are that age you deserve the time to watch the seasons and enjoy them. May you see many more summers.GraceThanks Grace. With a little luck I'll see 20 more summers and then who knows what might be invented.
Thanks...nice article...keep it up...Regards...CPThank you Chiradeep. How are things in India?I live in Kolkata (previously Calcutta), eastern India. It's quite pleasant here now. Raining sometimes, sometimes scorching heat. Nothing lasts for even 2/3 hours maximum. Welcome to searchwarp Sir!Thanks for the welcome. I went to Twitter and found you under a different name, are either of them your real name? Just curious. What do you like to be called? You can e-mail me if you want some privacy.Bob

, just an old sea dog. He flew B-29's during the Korean conflict. He spent 25 years in Wall Street as a trader. He then went into the corporate world, a very ugly place. Cheating, lying, stealing and bribery were SOP from DuPont to Exxon. He retired in 1990 and went back to trading. Oiy! So then he went to selling computers, it was lonely trading. Selling was more fun. Then he sold Nissans, Hondas, and finally Fords. That was fun. Started to get old so he retired again. Now writing, because he's really irritated with his country's direction as personified by the Republicans & Tea Party horn blowing.
